1. Formula tank is not properly fixed

The first thing you need to do is to identify the source of the leaking. If it is from the formula tank, check to see whether it is properly fixed at the back of the machine.

Push it down until it is firmly secured in place.

Furthermore, if the formula tank is extremely full, leaking may occur. There is a formula line that indicates where the cleaning solution should reach and a fill line for the warm. Do not fill past these lines since the tank may overflow and start to leak.

2. The dirty water tank is full

If the leaking is coming from the dirty water tank, check to see whether it is full.

When the tank overflows, the dirty water gets into the side vents and starts to leak.

All you have to do is detach the tank, open the drain plug and empty it.

The manufacturer, however, explains that after emptying the tank, leaking may still continue due to the water left inside vents of the machine. But this is a small amount and dries up in no time.

3. Dirty water tank drain plug is loose

The last time you emptied the dirty water tank; did you put the drain plug back securely?

If not, that could be the culprit that is letting water out of the machine.

Check the drain plug and make sure it is closed firmly.

4. Holding the machine incorrectly while cleaning

The pet stain eraser is supposed to be used in a slightly upright level position. Water will leak if it is held sideways or upside down.

So, when cleaning upholstery, hold the cleaner vertically upward to prevent water or cleaning solution from leaking.

5. Clean water tank cap is not fixed firmly

If the water tank cap is not threaded properly on the tank, water will leak during operation. Make sure the cap is threaded properly and has a snug fit.

  1. “Proper usage such as holding the machine vertically upward when in operation, contributes to the prevention of leaking. ” This comment is from your conclusion paragraph. I am confused as to how you hold the unit vertically while using when my carpets are on the floor which are horizontal. My unit is leaking cleaning solution while it is sitting on the counter (sitting vertically) and I have checked everything on the list making sure it’s fitted correctly and all plugs/caps are secure. What would be my next step to fix the leak.

  2. I’m having the same problem, I haven’t had this problem before, and after a few months of not using it, I put formula in it, and it all leaked out. I checked the cap and readjusted everything, and it wouldn’t stop leaking. I finally caved and decided to but a new cap for the formula tank to see if that will fix my isue
